Anticipation of Change in the Automotive Industry II

Thanks to a further 12-month-funding from the European Commission’s DG Employment and Social Affairs, the European project “Anticipation of Change in the Automotive Industry” launched its second phase in December 2009, running until 30 October 2010.

Project Partners

CLEPA and its partner EMF, in co-operation with ACEA and CEEMET as observers, will continue the implementation of the European partnership for Anticipation of change signed in 2007.

Project objectives

The main objective is to gather all relevant stakeholders to review the evolution of the automotive sector, to open a dialogue between the different actors and to help them to adapt to the change. This will be done during four public events, organised in Brussels.

Background: Phase I

The European partnership for anticipation of change was launched in October 2007 on the occasion of the Automotive Restructuring Forum organised by the European Commission.

Its aim was to bring the car manufacturers and automotive suppliers to work together with the trade unions with a view to better anticipate the changes taking place in the industry thus contributing to the sustainability of the European automobile industry.
