AFTERMARKET POLICY |
Welcome to the “Aftermarket Policy” part of the CLEPA website,
Via this website we will distribute all relevant documents of the aftermarket department. Because we have different activities the member site is an excellent tool to be kept up-to-date on CLEPA Aftermarket issues.
The Aftermarket WG is a peer group for discussion of aftermarket commercial business and legislative issues and actions. it provides a forum for automotive executives to identify and address strategic issues, share best practices and create practical tools for developing sound business practices in the aftermarket.
Recent Agenda Topics are:
- Access to repair information
- Benchmarking
- Block Exemption (MVBER) Renewal
- Build up working groups of common interest e.g.: brand protection, distribution, retrofit, remanufacturing
- Current legislation
- Design/Tooling Rights
- Industry Standards
- Recast Directive, Article 31
CLEPA also produces the CLEPA Aftermarket Newsflash to inform corporate management about the current important issues.
In addition aftermarket executives meet at the CLEPA Aftermarket Forum in Brussels 3 to 4 times a year.
For members who have not yet received a password or have forgotten it, please contact Wolfgang Lange (w.lange(at)clepa.be) in order to have access to the different documents on the member section.

Latest Activity: Joint Aftermarket Initiative Booth
During the CLEPA Technology Day one of the booths was a joint Aftermarket Initiative. The booth had a three-sided approach.
The first approach was to promote re-manufactured products, demonstrating their contribution to the environment.
The second approach was the promotion of retrofit products, which are products that not only contribute to the environment, but also make the roads safer. There was also a demonstration of the CLEPA Code Against Counterfeiting, the industry’s solution against counterfeiting products.
We thank all participating companies:
Bosch, Cardone, European Window Film Association, GKN Driveline, Philips, Schrader, TecCom and TRW.
Below, some pictures of Technology Day 2009 and more specific the joint aftermarket booth.
If you want more information on this initiative, or on the products shown, please contact Mr. Rutger Devoldere, Aftermarket Department
